Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing the Pharos platform at pharos.gg (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are using Pharos on behalf of a studio or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Pharos is an audience intelligence platform designed for independent game developers and studios. It collects and aggregates publicly available social and community metrics — such as follower counts, subscriber counts, and engagement statistics — from platforms that users connect to their workspace. Pharos processes this data to generate audience signal profiles and analytics dashboards visible only to authorised workspace members.

The Service is provided on a subscription or free-tier basis as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep that information current.
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• Connect only social channels and community platforms that you own or have explicit authorisation to monitor.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us immediately at legal@pharos.gg if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service beyond what is provided through our official interface or API.
• Not use the Service to harass, stalk, or build dossiers on individual persons.

4. Data Collection and Use

Pharos collects aggregated, public-facing metrics from social and community platforms that you connect to your workspace (for example: follower counts, subscriber totals, post counts, and engagement statistics). We do not collect private messages, individual user identities from third-party platforms, or any personal data of your audience members.

By connecting a platform to Pharos, you confirm that you are the owner or authorised operator of that account. Your use of third-party platform data through Pharos remains subject to the terms of service of those platforms.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, trademarks, and logos on the Pharos platform are owned by or licensed to Pharos and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of all data and content you bring into Pharos (such as your game titles, studio names, and connected source URLs). By using the Service, you grant Pharos a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pharos and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any metrics displayed are complete or accurate.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to Pharos in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) £100 GBP.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account with immediate effect if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if required to do so by law.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. We will delete or anonymise your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
